With impunity, Israel has already undertaken three of the five defining acts outlined by the United Nations Genocide Convention. There is ample evidence that we are witnessing the unfolding of a genocide in which the already precarious lives of Palestinians are deemed unworthy of aid, let alone human rights and justice. These, among other global bodies, have indicated that the collective punishment of Gaza civilians-which includes the killing of aid workers, journalists, and medics, as well as the destruction of all infrastructure and life-sustaining resources, cutting off water, food, electricity, and medicine-amounts to a war crime. The ongoing bombing of Gaza and the killing and forced displacement of its residents has been condemned by Amnesty International, the United Nations, the World Health Organization, and Action Aid. We now ask that they continue and be extended in recognizing the crimes against humanity that the Palestinian people are facing. Your artistic programs benefit from these politics. Over the last few years there have been significant steps to institutionally address social justice and inequality. Silence at this urgent time of crisis and escalating genocide is not a politically neutral position. What we are seeing now is simply inhumane.” In the words of the UN resident humanitarian coordinator for the occupied Palestinian Territory, “It’s about the loss of our humanity if the international community allows this to continue. We demand that the institutional silence around the ongoing humanitarian crisis that 2.3 million Palestinians are facing in the occupied and besieged Gaza Strip be broken immediately. We support Palestinian liberation and call for an end to the killing and harming of all civilians, an immediate ceasefire, the passage of humanitarian aid into Gaza, and the end of the complicity of our governing bodies in grave human rights violations and war crimes.

Plug the female spade into the other pin on your horn and put the ring terminal behind your mounting bolt. Each one of has a ring terminal and female spade end. The other wire you see is your ground wire. When you are plugging the power wire into the horn spades, just put it in either one it doesn’t matter. Again, HEAT SHRINK! !! Each end should have a female end on it, this is going to be plugged into the horn pins. This is where you are going to solder in the split to go to horn number 2. Now you are going to be running your long length of wire that is going from pin 87 to the horns you are going to mount. Plug your ground wire into pin 85 on your relay. Here is where I mounted my ground wire (not the best pic). This is going to be your ground wire so make it long enough to reach from your ground to your relay. You may need to solder in another piece of wire to the fuse wiring in order to get the spade end to reach the relay. Put a ring terminal on one end of the fuse, and a female spade on the other. Next you are going to hook your fuse up to the positive end on your battery terminal. So again, stick the power wire from your stock horn in pin #86. If you follow their instructions you won’t get da beep! *PRO TIP * SickSpeeds wiring diagram is WRONG, they have the power wire from the stock horn going into pin 87. Now you are going to want to put a female spade end on your purple and green power wire and plug it into pin #86 on the relay. Try leaving yourself enough slack so you can mount your relay in a spot that is going to stay out of harm’s way. The installation was fairly straightforward just connected the positive inputs and the stock horn plug. However, I did have to make my own wiring harness for the horns using some spare wires and male/female spade connectors. The package comes with the horns and required brackets for an easy installation process. Sickspeed offers a variety of aftermarket upgrade options for a number of cars. NASA approved the two-man / two-vehicle program rechristened Project Gemini (Latin for "twins"), in reference to the third constellation of the Zodiac with its twin stars Castor and Pollux, on December 7, 1961. Kennedy on May 25, 1961, it became evident to NASA officials that a follow-on to the Mercury program was required to develop certain spaceflight capabilities in support of Apollo. Īfter Apollo was chartered to land men on the Moon by President John F. Scale models were shown in July 1961 at the McDonnell Aircraft Corporation's offices in St. He presented two initial versions of a two-man spacecraft, then designated Mercury Mark II, at a NASA retreat at Wallops Island in March 1961. Jim Chamberlin, the head of engineering at the Space Task Group (STG), was assigned in February 1961 to start working on a bridge program between Mercury and Apollo. The Apollo program was conceived in early 1960 as a three-man spacecraft to follow Project Mercury. Gus Grissom, acting as Houston capsule communicator when Ed White performed his spacewalk on Gemini 4, is heard on flight recordings pronouncing the spacecraft's call sign "Jeh-mih-nee 4", and the NASA pronunciation is used in the 2018 film First Man. NASA's public affairs office issued a statement in 1965 declaring "Jeh-mih-nee" the "official" pronunciation. However, staff of the Manned Spacecraft Center, including the astronauts, tended to pronounce the name / ˈ dʒ ɛ m ɪ n i/, rhyming with knee. The constellation for which the project was named is commonly pronounced / ˈ dʒ ɛ m ɪ n aɪ/, the last syllable rhyming with eye. The only AAP project funded was Skylab – which used existing spacecraft and hardware – thereby eliminating the need for Big Gemini. In 1969, Lukas Bingham proposed a " Big Gemini" that could have been used to shuttle up to 12 astronauts to the planned space stations in the Apollo Applications Project (AAP). NASA's administration did not approve those plans. He believed Gemini spacecraft could fly in lunar operations before Project Apollo, and cost less. Gemini's chief designer, Jim Chamberlin, also made detailed plans for cislunar and lunar landing missions in late 1961. Gemini was robust enough that the United States Air Force planned to use it for the Manned Orbital Laboratory (MOL) program, which was later canceled. During the program, three astronauts died in air crashes during training, including both members of the prime crew for Gemini 9. The astronaut corps that supported Project Gemini included the " Mercury Seven", " The New Nine", and " The Fourteen". Gemini was the first program to use the newly built Mission Control Center at the Houston Manned Spacecraft Center for flight control. Their launch vehicle was the Gemini– Titan II, a modified Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM). This left Apollo free to pursue its prime mission without spending time developing these techniques.Īll Gemini flights were launched from Launch Complex 19 (LC-19) at Cape Kennedy Air Force Station in Florida. In doing so, it allowed the United States to catch up and overcome the lead in human spaceflight capability the Soviet Union had obtained in the early years of the Space Race, by demonstrating mission endurance up to just under 14 days, longer than the eight days required for a round trip to the Moon methods of performing extravehicular activity (EVA) without tiring and the orbital maneuvers necessary to achieve rendezvous and docking with another spacecraft. Gemini's objective was the development of space travel techniques to support the Apollo mission to land astronauts on the Moon. Ten Gemini crews and 16 individual astronauts flew low Earth orbit (LEO) missions during 19. The Gemini spacecraft carried a two-astronaut crew. Conducted after the first, Project Mercury, and while the Apollo program was still in development, Gemini was conceived in 1961 and concluded in 1966. Project Gemini ( IPA: / ˈ dʒ ɛ m ɪ n i/) was the second United States human spaceflight program to fly. Warren praised Obama for "his courage to willingly take enormous heat from his base by inviting someone like me." "That dialogue, I think, is part of what my campaign's been all about: That we're not going to agree on every single issue, but what we have to do is to be able to create an atmosphere when we - where we can disagree without being disagreeable and then focus on those things that we hold in common as Americans," he said. In a news conference Thursday, Obama said he is a "fierce advocate for equality for gay and lesbian Americans." But he said he will build relationships with people of opposing views, and wants his inaugural to reflect that goal. "By inviting Rick Warren to your inauguration, you have tarnished the view that gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender Americans have a place at your table," Joe Solmonese, president of the Human Rights Campaign, said in a letter to the incoming president. Gay rights groups are demanding that Obama rescind the invitation because of Warren's opposition to same-sex marriage. By picking Warren, Obama is sending another signal, about his willingness to upset liberals by tilting to the center. Until late 2018, the kelvin was defined as 1/273.16 of the thermodynamic temperature of the triple point of water (0.01☌ or 32.018☏). He calculated the value of absolute zero to be -273☌ in 1848 which is only a 0.15☌ deviation from the current accepted value. Thomson wrote a paper outlining the need for an absolute temperature scale. History/origin: The kelvin is named after British physicist William Thomson, who was known as Lord Kelvin. This new definition results in a fundamental change in the kelvin, such that it is now dependent on the definitions of the second, the meter, and the kilogram. The definition of the kelvin was changed in 2019. It is also the unit of the Kelvin scale in which the null point (0 K) is the temperature at which all thermal motion ceases, known as absolute zero, or -273.15☌. It is defined as the energy equivalent of the triple point of water as given by Boltzmann's equation. Kelvinĭefinition: The kelvin (symbol: K) is the base unit of thermodynamic temperature in the International System of Units (SI). Even in countries like the United States however, Celsius is widely used within the scientific community-it just is not widely used in everyday temperature references. Almost all countries around the world use this scale, except for those in which the metric system has not been adopted, such as the United States. This is the definition that was used up until 2019, when the kelvin was redefined based on the definitions of the second, meter, and kilogram.Ĭurrent use: The Celsius scale replaced the Fahrenheit scale in most countries in the mid to late 20 th century. In 1954, the unit, "degree Celsius," as well as the Celsius scale were again re-defined to instead be based on absolute zero (-273.15 ☌) and the triple point of VSMOW (specially purified water). Celsius as a unit and a scale was not widely used until this original definition was inverted. This was not always the case, and originally 0☌ was defined as the boiling point of water and 100☌ was defined as the melting point of snow. History/origin: From 1743 until 1954, the Celsius scale was based on 0☌ for the freezing point of water and 100 ☌ for the boiling point of water, both at a pressure of one standard atmosphere, using mercury as the working material. The kilogram, meter, and second, are defined based on Planck's constant, h, the speed of light, c, and cesium frequency, Δ νCs. The kelvin (and thus Celsius) is defined based on the Boltzmann constant, k, which equals 1.380649 × 10 -23 when expressed in the unit J The Celsius and Kelvin scales are precisely related, with a one-degree change in Celsius being equal to a one degree-change in kelvin. It is defined based on the SI unit of temperature, the kelvin. Definition: The Celsius (symbol: ☌) is an SI (International System of Units) derived unit of temperature. I can't comment on much beyond that, because I don't switch things once I find something I like. I like how the original Muzzy 3-blades locked together inside an aluminum ferrule, but I like how Slick Trick 4-blades lock into a steel ferrule even more. I didn't want to mess with tiny screws on broadheads. Ramcat were also extremely popular at the time, but I chose ST for the same reason. I went the Slick Trick direction when I left standard Muzzy 3-blades, because I don't like messing with small screws to secure the blades. I've heard good things about the Muzzy Trocar. If I wasn't content with Slick Trick, I would try the Exodus next. If you remove the Standard blades & lay them out flat, the total cut is the same as the 2" mechanical broadhead. Those 1" blades will have the same total cut as the Slick Trick RaptorTrick X mechanical with 2" blades. If you are going from a mechanical back to a fixed blade, a Slick Standard looks small. I'm not your guy to share first hand experience with all them, but I have heard good things about most of them. If I like what I see when I test it, I am done shopping. I am going to research what's out there, & pick my first choice. Personally, I am not the type of person who is going to spend money on three different brands of broadheads. Once I decide what grain ferrule & blades I want to use, I can always buy a 4-pack of replacement blades. Standards are 1" blades, & the original Magnum are 1 1/8". The ferrules & blades are all interchangeable. That's because the ferrules of the Standards & Magnums are the same. I could buy a package of 100 grain ST Standards & 125 grain Magnums, & that would give me 4 different combination to try. I've said this before in another post, but I like it enough to say it again. He also still shoots a compound bow primarily, but he has a crossbow for backup (backup to our aging bodies & not our archery equipment). My best friend is the same age as me, & he shot Thunderheads for decades before he switched to ST Standards. He was doing the original ST Magnum, but he decided to shoot the same as his wife (lower poundage bow) to keep things simple. My best friend & his wife shoot the Standards. I have always heard the Viper Tricks & Standards fly great. If I was shooting my crossbow only, I feel the ST Standards would have a tougher ferrule/point than the Viper Tricks. I find the blades easy to remove & sharpen, too. I like the design (almost like a cut on contact hybrid with replaceable blades) & how they fly. I picked the Viper Trick, because I was reducing my compound bow poundage at the time. I still shoot my compound bow primarily, & I have been using the Slick Trick Viper Trick for both. Both have taken down a lot of deer over the years. If I had tried the 100 grain NAP Thunderheads, I probably would have shot those for 25 years.
